AR Interaction
Augmented Reality in the Smart Home

How will the physical, digital and interactive world come together?

AR glasses can sense a lot of different things. Not only can it detect things in the physical world, but the digital and the interactive world (IoT) can be influenced. In the future, we might combine all these things easily in our house and tread them as if they are not different from each other. In addition, we want to think of an interaction language through which we address these object which we interact with. Here, I propose a distinction between: device, device group and device group without specific device. Finally, in the future I see possibilities for less obtrusive ways of interacting with the digital layer. Adding cameras to our glasses could result in a lot of privacy issues. Therefore, I introduce a device that can detect 3D gestures through clothing in a short range, using radio waves. Through this device, interaction in the short range is possible and can even be very precise. In different contexts: standing up and sitting down, the device always allows for perfect interaction possibilities.
